Wade's Story
One morning, Wade gets up and makes breakfast. His brother, Nick, comes downstairs and tells him that their mother is running some errands and that she'll be back soon. They then go to the park to play basketball. While playing, Nick wonders why their mother never told them about their father. Wade says that maybe they were better off. They then go back home, assuming their mother is home by now. However, when they get home, she is not back yet. Wade goes to the bathroom. When he comes out, Nick is pinned to the television. Nick runs outside, and Wade follows. Nick witnesses the wreckage and realizes that it was his mother who was in the accident. He tells Wade that they have to get home and call someone, and the two take a shortcut home. Suddenly, they are stopped by an armed crook who demands that they give him all the money he has. Nick hands him the money, but Wade quickly kicks the crook's hand, disarming him, and Nick knocks him out. Suddenly a man walks toward them, looking impressed by their actions. The man introduces himself as Mark Bender, head of operations at the YAA. Mark asks them to come with him to train to be agents. Wade is excited and follows. Wade and Nick are introduced to Roger Luggin, another agent there. Wade goes to work on stealth in his training exercises.
After an important document is stolen from a safe-house, Wade works with Roger to find out who is behind the attack. They get a security camera picture of a ninja-like figure, and Roger figures out that it is Xavier Capotta. Wade goes with Nick to the ninja-training facility where Xavier is being held. Brock Carlton, the administrator of the facility, greets them, thinking they are military scouts looking for recruits. They meet Xavier and Nick is instantly suspicious of him. After an alarm is sounded for security, Nick tells Wade to arrest Xavier, while he holds off the security. Wade breaks down the door to Xavier's room, but Xavier has already gone outside to a car to escape. Wade goes outside, running toward the car, but is shot at by Dan Clark, whom Wade does not know. Clark starts the car, and Xavier fight Wade. Wade tries to shoot Xavier, but Xavier uses his knife to deflect the bullets. Xavier is able to get close to Wade and cut his arm, knocking Wade to the ground. However, Nick comes outside and kills Xavier, and Wade puts a tracker on the fleeing car. Nick asks who was in the car, but Wade doesn't know who it was. Wade later tags along with his brother to the hideout they tracked down. When they attack, Wade shoots a control panel, opening the blast door for the YAA troops, and a battle breaks out. Wade, as instructed, retreats because he isn't experienced enough. Later, Wade is promoted. A few days later, Nick returns from his investigation at Warehouse 43, and Wade tells him about more training he's been doing.
Mark is able to track down Sean Austin's location, Wade finds a profile of Austin, discovering that he is deaf in his left ear for some reason. Wade later goes with Nick to the hideout. However, Wade is captured by a masked assassin and brought in for questioning. While being interrogated by the assassin, Wade sees Nick sneaking around outside. The assassin then attaches chains to Wade's wrists and electrocutes him. Wade reveals to him that Mark Bender was the one who tracked down their location. Wade soon passes out from too much electric shock. Nick comes to his rescue, knocks out the assassin, wakes Wade up, and the two escape. Back at HQ, Mark reveals that Austin is the same Sean that worked there under the name of Ripken. Nick informs the others that Austin and his men are heading back to Warehouse 43 before leaving the state. The next morning, after the assassin has attacked, Wade asks Ellen if she saw the assassin, but Ellen gets weird about it and says no. Nick and Wade then go to the warehouse, fully equipped.
They attack the guards, but Nick gets captured, so Wade hides for a little while. However, minutes later, he comes out from hiding and shoots down a bunch of guards. Nick comes outside with the money and gives it to Wade and the two escape. Mark informs Wade and Nick of their promotions when Wade gives him the money. Heidi tells them that President Davis sent them five million dollars for their efforts. Later, Wade trains Rick Pelt, who gives an impressive performance. Wade is unhappy, however, because Nick is considering joining the Secret Service. Wade talks to Ellen about his feelings but Ellen says that she has connections if he wants a better job. Wade asks her if she is as loyal to the agency as he is. Ellen tells him to grow up and leaves the room. Wade later goes with Nick to the party at the Patterson Mansion, undercover and sees Ellen there. However, when Byrd's men attack the mansion security, Wade assists the security and holds off Byrd's men, while Nick goes after Byrd. Wade captures Novak, and extracts information as to where the kidnapped Michelle is. After Mark is killed, Wade finds a threatening videotape left by the killer, demanding a ransom for Michelle's release. Wade and Nick follow Ellen Nevins to their hideout and a gunfight breaks out. Wade goes around the side to look for Michelle but is stopped by Ellen. Ellen says that he wold be more useful if he used his anger. The two fight but finally Wade shoots and kills Ellen, telling her to "grow up."
Wade informs Nick that he killed her, and says that Michelle should be inside. However, Novak throws a grenade at Wade, and Wade leaps away from the explosion but is knocked out. After killing Novak, Nick wakes up Wade and the two go inside and find Michelle. Wade is able to escort Michelle outside to safety, as the twp kill a bunch of guards. Sam Davis and the Secret Service arrive and congratulate Wade. Wade tells Nick that it's okay if he leaves the YAA but Nick tells him that he is going to stay.
